Gas Mixer for Welding - TIG (GTAW) Welding

Welding Gas Mixer - Welding Process

Proportional Gas Mixers

MANÁSOLDA®

The GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Weldin) welding process or TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding, the plasma arc of inert gas is responsible for protecting the pool of fusion the addition material and the tungsten electrode from the oxygen present in the atmosphere. It is common to use argon, but mixtures of Argon and Helium and mixtures of Argon and Hydrogen demonstrate increased productivity and quality.

The addition of Helium (He) to the TIG weld increases fluidity in the pool of fusion and penetration. In the need for greater fluidity and penetration, replace Helium with Hydrogen (H2). Note that Hydrogen must NOT be used for TIG welding on stainless, duplex, martensitic and ferritic steels.

For precision, safety and productivity in welding processes, the quality of the gas/mixture used is extremely important. This result is only achieved with mixtures of exact gases that allow repeatability throughout the process. Our gas mixers promote the ideal mix according to the demand of each process, offering models with fixed or variable output options.
